Hi thee I'm new to this forum..and i have some questions.. I'm looking to buy some subwoofers for my mustang its a 09 v6 and I'm not sure if i should go with 12 or 10 and what kind and the type of box...the sound I'm looking for is you can hear me coming up the street and when i ride by it shakes your wall lol vibration so any help would be really appreciatethanks

Well, 10's are going to give you a tighter sound and faster response vs 12's. But they wont be as "boomy" as 12's. The 12's will be louder given they have the same power rating as comparable 10's. 12's are generally preferred for rap/hip-hop where 10's are for rock. But you could always go with 15's :shigrin

Enclosure is a big factor in sound as well. The sealed enclosure will again give you a tighter base while a ported enclosure will be louder. There are exceptions though. Also be warned that proper enclosures are not a "one size fits all." Your box needs to be built to your speakers. This is especially true towards ported and band-pass enclosures.

subwoofers

Ok cause all i listen to is rap and hip hop but i was looking at either the alpine r or pioneer im going to go ahead and go witg 12 because im looking for.the bass so is that a good idea thanks

Contemplate maximum wattage RMS. . Max wattage RMS is how much power the subwoofer can handle. Usually the more power they can handle the more sound they are capable of producing, but also the more expensive they will be, especially since you will need to purchase an amplifier that can produce all that power.
Bought 2 active slim subwoofers to add some bass recently
