My windshield wipers on my 2010 V6 will not turn off when in the off position, but run in intermittent instead. I've been trying to research, but haven't found much. I've been told that it could possibly be the wiper control module. Does anyone have any input on this?
What does it do when you are in the intermittent position?
You should have I believe 4 positions: off, intermittent, slow, and fast positions.
My first thing I would do is make sure it isn't just jammed or something. Make sure you have 4 positions. Also note what it does in each. If they are are normal other than off then I guess go with the control module. Just i would think if you had a bad control module the intermittent and other positions wouldn't work or be messed up rather than just the off being intermittent.
It does seem as if it works in all 4 positions. However, the last two, intermittent & slow, seem to feel very similar as in I can't notice a definite click between the two speeds.
Any suggestions on how to rule this out?
