Ok so i noticed some time back that my drivers seat is starting to frill and look rough were my gas leg sits, i know that my car is under warrenty but do you think that the dealer will do anything about this? because to be honest it is not too bad but i have to look at it everytime i get in the car and it makes me up set. i am going in tommoro moring to have them look at it but i have a feeling they are going to say come back later when it gets worse.

What do you guys think, sould i ask for a new seat or what?

Ps my seats are cloth and my brother has a 2010 gt with cloth seats and he drives his car more than me and he has had no problems with them.

:sadcry:sadcry:sosad::doh::headscratch:

1) what kind of pants are you wearing?

2) any keychains, leg holsters, S&M gear being worn over your clothes that might rub?

3) is it parked in direct sunlight all the time?

I think if it's an isolated issue and isn't something that's common (it doesn't sound too common), they might work with you, you might also want to check your seats vs. other seats on the lot and see if maybe you just don't have a bad batch of cloth on yours.

Never hurts to ask them though.

i dont think that the pants i am wearing are the problem because i only wear light cloths like running shorts, and then some times i wear jeans or kaky shorts on ocassion lol.

And no the car is not kept in direct sun light, i keep it in the garage every night and main tain the car very well i must say. And like i said i dont drive the car that much, i only have 6000 miles on it and it is only 1 year old.

My bros 2010 gt has 12000 miles on it with cloth seats and is kept outside and is not maintianed that well ( he has a baby) and his seats still look fine???????????/

Im not sure what is wrong

hmm sounds like it's getting back at you for not driving it.

Or more than likely you may have just gotten a bad batch of cloth, or the seat may have been detailed at some point at the dealership or you had the car detailed and whatever cleaning solution they used damaged the cloth.

Definately take it back though. My 08 has 38,xxx on the clock and the seats are in fantastic shape still and mine is parked outside in the sun as well. This assuming that they still use the same cloth in the seats.

I'm not impressed with the Mustang cloth, or any Ford cloth seats. I had issues with cloth seats in previous F-150s. Also, when I was looking at used Mustangs, most of them with cloth were horrible. That is why all of mine now have leather. My '06 has 55K miles and the leather seats look (and smell) brand new.

Mine has cloth seats too, but i bought leather like seat covers not only to protect the fabric, but to stop getting shocked each and every time I got out of my car(Static Shock)

That isn't right. The cloth should last longer than that. I have an 06 with almost 60K and the cloth seats show very little wear.
