I just test drove a couple of 5.0 GT mustangs and here are my impressions. However I wasnt able to drive a brembo GT so here is my question. I know all GTs have sport mode but does the brembo car offer a better / more steering feel over the standard GTs.

2011 GT ( auto ) 19 inch wheels , Fairly solid on center but not much communication if you are driving at low speeds, builds up nicely at highway speeds but still not the exact feeling you want from a sports car. Car was not in sport mode.

2011 GT 6MT, in sport mode, Steering feels as if it has more weight and requires more effort to turn. I have heard people mention that brembo equipped cars are more stiff. ( too bad it only comes in 6MT)

Test drive a 12 GT and the steering feel is adjustable, but the 11s do not have it. Brembo equipped cars do feel different in their handling, but the steering feel will only be diffferent due to the Pirelli summer tires unless as mentioned you physically change the setting on a 12 GT. My .02.

I didnt know that they had changed it on the 2012. So there is a setting for Steering effort.

Not sure how everyone else feels, but my stock 11 felt real bouncy and loose when i first got it. After an Eibach lowering kit, 20" staggered wheels with Nitto tires, and an STB it feels like a whole different animal. Low, tight steering and firm, and just all around more sporty.

Yes, you can choose between comfort, normal and sport, or something like that. I tried it a couple of times on my 12 GT, but was hard pressed to tell the difference in every day driving. I'm sure it would be noticed on an autocross course.

So the settings dont do anything in making the steering sharper, just more effort which is not significant.

Not true. My 2011 Brembo can be put into Sport Mode (press the traction control button twice while stepping on the brake pedal) and the steering firms up.

I think he is referring to being able to switch between the three modes through the setup menu because the 11s do not have that. However, I would bet since the 12s lock the steering feel into sport when the sport mode through the traction button is selected, that the 11s are doing the same thing without showing it through the setup menu.

i traded in my 2011 e90 m3 and the steering feel was amazing. felt everything you wanted and nothing you didnt. that is my biggest complaint with my 2011 gt:( hope after i lower it( already have staggerd wheels) it will feel tighter. overall best car for the money out there! dont even miss the m3:)

I agree with you on the M3, I have driven many Bmw M cars over the years and the steering can not be replicated

For 30k it the GT is great value, I still think this a move in the right direction fro ford, offering the 3 modes from comfort to sport, although sport is what I use most.
