Hey I'm new here and was hoping for some feed back on X4 tuner I just bought. What kind of results will I get , I also didn't know I had to buy the tunes apart can't the tuner just hook up.

You can either just use the tunes that SCT puts on the X4 tuner or you can get custom tunes from someone like Bama or MPT or several others.
I have an X4 tuner and tried the tune that came with it and noticed some improvement in power and also the auto trans shifted slightly firmer. However there were much more substantial gains from the MPT custom tune over the SCT tune, that's probably pretty typical of the other custom tunes like from Bama and the others.

Ok so there is a tune already in the X4 , but the other tunes from Bama are extra ?

If you don't already have custom tunes included, yes they will probably be extra.
When I look at American Muscles website I see SCT X4 tuner for $399, or the same tuner with 2 free Bama custom tunes for the same price. It would have definitely been better to order it in the first place with custom tunes, but you can still get them now, they will just be extra.

Where exactly did you buy the X4?

Was it advertised as "unmarried"? It will save you money if it is. I believe you have to send it to the tuner of your choice to get it unmarried.
While they have it, they'll marry it to your car using your pcm(computer) number. They'll write you a tune or tunes, down load them in your X4 and Mail it back to you.
I think most tuners charge about $150 to unmarry a tuner, around $75 for one tune or three for$150.
Contact any one of the vendors here,Monday,that offer this service and they'll be more than happy to take your money....I mean help you out. Haha. Sorry, couldn't resist.
