Hello everybody, I'm still stuck about my choice in exhaust. Im leaning towards the pype bombs. I want it to sound good but have volume, but i don't want it to sound like a honda .... what are yall's thoughts? i know i can't get the v8 sound, i just want to make it sound a lot better but not ricey.

I called Flowmaster and asked to speak to a tech, told him what I had and he explained what I needed , more importantly , why it worked !
I went with 2 of the 50 series delta flow with the H pipe .the H pipe mingles the two sided together before they head out. also think of it this way if you true dual it out then you are listening to two three cylinder engines sounding out each side .

I would stay with a chambered muffler, any "glasspack" style muffler will give you that ricey sound. On my 3.8 i have a pair of Flowmaster 44s and an X-pipe, i like the tone from inside the car, but i would suggest the super 40 series and an H-pipe if i were to do it again.

After going on youtube i have found that the 3.7 actually sounds decent with those pypes. Although i would not put them on my car i would say that they sound better than stock but they have too much exhaust pop for me.

I have the pype bombs on my car, and love the sound. I've also been complimented on the sound by other Mustang drivers.
The upside is the price and sound. The downside is the installation and support- I had a fitment issue with my first set, and they just generally don't fit perfectly like you'd hope.

I ended up going with Ford Racing! I bit pricy but sounds mean! thanks for the help y'all !!!!

I think you chose well, Ghost. The Ford Racing is either very similar to, or is made by Borla. I've heard it both ways. You get what you pay for.

Exactly this.. There's a college student that owns a GT in my town that I always see driving, that just sounds terrible. The worst part is that he drives around in first or second everywhere. Next time I get the chance I will deff ask him.
