Okay so I've been wondering about the benefits of using overdrive. When should I use overdrive and when should I keep it off? When I press the button, and the orange light comes on the HUD does that mean it's off or on?

Thanks,
John

You mean the button thats on the shifter? You on an auto? Im gonna assume you are cuz im on my lunch break lol. That button is hill clime mode thats not an OD mode. 6th gear is OD. When that light in the HUD is on, HIll clime mode is on. Hill mode actaully takes away 6th gear and is used when you are about to do a high rate of incline or driving up a steep mountian. I makes each gear a little bit taller and the car rev a little bit higher i think. . .

5th and 6th gear are both overdrive in the auto.

And yeah, there is no off button for overdrive like there used to be.

The hill mode switch just keeps the transmission from hunting gears on hills, nothing to even worry about unless you are on a really steep grade.
