Thanks to the support of the Clarenville Dragway SPORT COMPACT CLASS IS A GO! As well
they will be giving Sunday Hobby Class Passes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd finishers in BOTH Sport Compact and Cruiser Classes Good for the rest of this season.
I also have it on good authority that there is a large shipment of NOS on its way to St. John's so we'll be seeing some very fast passes

Each year the Newfoundland Street Machine Association with the support Clarenville Dragway holds the biggest one day HEADS UP drag racing event in Newfoundland at the Clarenville Dragway this year the event will be held on Sunday AUGUST 7th. There are classes for everything from everyday drives to all out barely street legal 8 sec 140+ MPH Pro street cars. First time racers are always welcome. If you've never been to the clarenville dragway this is the weekend to attend.

You will not be permitted to enter a class in which your vehicle has recorded a faster ET during the 2010 or 2011 season at the clarenville dragway.
A shootout committee (5 members NMSA) will have the final decision over all issues
that arise during the shootout.
Qualifying passes must be made before 12PM on the day of the event. Qualifying times
can be made at any weekend at the Clarenville dragway during the 2009 to 2011 season however you must have the time slip signed by a member of the NSMA immediately after returning to the pits to ensure the car is within the shootout rules i.e. DOT tires closed exhaust etc. Must provide your time slip on the day of the event to enter the shoot out. If your car has an ET close to the a cut off time you may want to consider stepping

If the shootout isn't completed in full on Sunday due to rain or some other such event. The shootout will be restarted in full on the next AVAILABLE race weekend.
