2012 x plan pricing

I'm able to use the x plan because of where I work. I went on the site and searched the inventory and found a '12 base GT with 3.73, brembos, 19s. Sticker price was 32.5k, x plan price was 28k. I go into the dealer to see the car and purchase it. We talk for a few minutes, I told them I had the x plan, etc. They came back with a 31k price(window still said 32.5k) and said that the x plan price cannot be changed by the dealer. It's something Ford does and they can get in trouble if they change it. Is that correct or were they just trying to get more money out of me? I asked to see what the invoice was printed out on a piece of paper and they couldn't give it to me. The paper I got just showed the price of the car, how much payments were, but nothing being said about the x plan.

I was trading my current car in and they were going to give me $3,400 for it, when it's worth more than that. KBB says $6,500. I know a guy who has the exact same car, same year, same color, same everything and similar mileage and they gave him $5,300 for his at the same Ford dealer about 2-3 months earlier.

Has anyone bought a '12 with the x plan pricing? How much did you pay?

They are pulling your leg.. they can sell under invoice if they want... I got my first mustang under invoice.

Salesman are always going to try and work you for your money.. so they can have it!

Just like the sale of a new car, the value of your trade in can also be argued... it's all up to you weather or not its going to be a sale or not.

Give another dealership a shot. Good Luck.
X-plan

Price on these is mandated by Ford. Just ask the stealership to show you the invoice and it will show x and a plan. Also make sure you don't pay the lower fees. You can get all that info from the website.
I told them they are going to have to do more for me for the trade in and the price of the new car. The sales person said he would go talk to the manager, they both come back and the manager says that's the best he can do and I said thank you for the time and walked out. I know I am qualified to get the car so I don't know why they would just let someone walk out.

That's what I found out on the fordpartner site. It showed me an example of one that showed the invoice, price, and the plan, but for some reason they wouldn't show me that.
The plan price on the xplan site doesn't include any options. I don't know about he base model, but xplan for the GT Prem I just bought was about 2k off
msrp. Your dealer sounds kind of shady so I'd watch
what they try to get away with. Under xplan a dealer can't charge dealer or dealer prep fees, more than $100 doc fee, and the Ford ad fee should be included in the xplan price. The only additions to your purchase invoice should only be tax, tag, doc fee, and anything related to your trade.

I just checked Ford's xplan site. MSRP for GT base is 29310. Xplan is 27815. So $1500 off. 31k sounds about right in your case. The 28k number you found doesn't include options.

Also kbb is hugely optimistic in trade values. Edmunds is a little closer to what you can expect to get. It does sound like they're trying to lowball you on the trade, which is what every dealer will try to do.
Dealers do not have to participate in x-plan programs but I have never been to one that does not. Ask to see the invoice it has the x-plan price listed on it. If they try to charge you any more than that for the car (tax, title, reg are extra) they are in direct violation of Ford policies; X-plan pricing is non-negotiable.

Did they ask you for the x-plan PIN at any point?
See if they'll give you the 500 rebate. I was under the impression you couldn't get the rebate and the Ford Credit finance rate but I got the rebate as well. Also try to get a brochure with the 750 coupon. The coupon states it's not good with A & D plans but says nothing of X plan. With the 500 rebate you should be right at invoice price. With coupon well under it.
X-Plan...
The price from Ford partners.com on dealers inventory is the X-Plan price, including options...
You buy the vehicle from Ford not the dealer and the dealer keeps the hold back...
All rebates and discounts have to be applied and the admin and prep fee can not exceed 75 bucks... anything out side of this is not the X-plan...

Should be invoice plus around a hundred bucks. That's the X-plan price. It is between your employer and Ford. If you walked in off the street on a slow day, you could hammer them for a better price, but the x-plan is a one-minute negotiation. "I work for Spacely Sprockets. I have the X-plan price." You may need to get a passcode from Ford. You would link from some internal company website into Ford, where you would get that little code from Ford.

As far as the trade-in value goes, you can negotiate it separately. Seems you should, given that you have a fixed price already from the dealer for the car.

They like to mix the prices together, so when you want more for your trade-in, or to pay less for the car, they can change the prices on both then dazzle you with other minutiae like payment options or extra spiffs. If you don't like the deal together, split them and work them separately, and you retain the option of selling your own car.

You aren't obligated to this dealer. X-plan is nationwide.
Did they ask you for the x-plan PIN at any point?
No they didn't. He walked back over to ask how I got the plan price. I had my pin printed out and had with me.
I sold my old car myself. Within 2 weeks I found someone offering $5k, when the car Blue Booked for $4,800 (plus a few additional options).

If you ask me, trading in a vehicle is just about as bad as handing someone a couple thousand dollars for only a few hours worth of work.
Base GT with brembo pack and 3.73s is 30,421 xplan (32,195 MSRP), including delivery and excluding taxes, title, doc, etc. or any rebate/incentive/coupon.
Any plan pricing is completely non-negotiable and the dealer cannot play games with you at all. At all. At least as far as plan pricing goes. Or they lose the plan-specified commission. Sure, they might be coy initially about showing you the xplan invoice even though they're supposed to show it, but you can rest assured that the plan price will be the same no matter the dealer once you go forward with the order.
Anyway, there must be another feature or two on the car to bring the xplan price up to 31k (32.5 MSRP). Factory features receive xplan pricing, too. Dealer-added features do not.
I just got an email back from another dealer. They've got a Base GT with 3.73 and Brembos. MSRP is $32,085(with those options) and Xplan price is $29,827.
Xplan pricing

Has anyone bought a '12 with the x plan pricing? How much did you pay?

I have a 2012 on order MSRP is $32185 my dealer printed out a sheet showing MSRP, Invoice along with A,X,Z princing.
The X plan price for my car will be $30323.

You still get to use any rebates/financing and private cash
offers on top of the X plan price.

I suppose a person could go in an haggle a price equal to or better
than this but X plan makes it a very painless procedure. No hassle
the price is what it is.
