Has anyone recently, last month or two, ordered their Mustang, and received a VIN and build date? I'm trying to estimate current timing by Ford to get my GT? Ordered on 12/24/14. I'm hoping timing is getting shorter from the original rush on orders that probably occured earlier.

Ordered a GT Premium on Nov. 28th(black Friday), On COTUS: Order confirmed: Dec 12th, Build date: Dec. 16th, Delivered to dealer: Jan. 2, brought home same day. REMEMBER: The higher volume dealers seem to get priority on special orders!

Thanks for the reply. Not sure how much volume my Dealer generates but should be one of the larger Dealers in the area. 6 week turnaround for you seems really quick. Congrats!

Received the VIN today! No build date yet on COTUS.

When I ordered my 2014 I got the build date about a week after the vin in fact I remember the Ford rep on this site telling me when I get the vin I would have the build date with in a week.

Just received a delivery date of 2/28. Strange to have a delivery date on COTUS but no build date? If received then, it will have taken just over 9 weeks total process of ordered to delivery.

Supposed to have been built yesterday. No new news on Cotus though. Delivery date of 3/2 still out there. Can't hardy wait to get in and have a Sunday drive down route 66 toward OK City!

Now in Transit. moved my delivery date from March 2 to Feb 26th! One week from Thursday.

Hopefully the snow and ice is gone so I can take her out.

I cannot think that the order for my Mustang would be that unusual to take so long. Ordered 12/27/14. Last week got word that the factory had "pulled" my order but still remains unscheduled as of last Tuesday. On Wednesday I heard that the sales manager at the dealership had asked if there could be some priority given to the order (replaces a 2014 which was totaled--other party 100% at fault). Is an orange Ecoboost Premium convertible that unusual?

Kenneth T - Does seem odd regarding your order. I ordered mine on 12/23 and supposed to get a call this afternoon to go pick it up. Delivery date is supposed to be today according to the website. The delivery date was taken off the website this morning but says still in transit. I assume it was removed because it is to be delivered today. Hope yours gets sorted out. Your's should have been built by now!

Thanks for the comments. I have been relying on info from the dealer but apparently you have been able to track the progress of your car directly. Dare I ask where?
