I would have to disagree with much you said in this piece. I own the car, and have owned it since December of 2017. You say the engine doesn't feel as energetic as the Camaro's, and I can tell you that it feels pretty great when you blow a camaro SS off the road in this car. From 0-60, this is not a speed demon, but neither is the SS. But from a rolling start- even if you're on the highway doing 80+, this car will scare the HELL out of you when you mash down on the pedal. It's insanely fast, and I've challenged Dodge Hemi's and Camaro SS's who must already know this, because they rarely want to run with me on the highway. Those that do find out very quickly that this mustang is no imposter.
As far as visibility with the top up, it is fantastic. Surely you have compared this to the Camaro? If so, you need to, because the difference is incredible. Let's talk about trunk space versus the Camaro, too, because the Mustang's trunk is 3 times larger. This is a car that can be used daily, and can be taken on long trips (as I have done a time or two) with plenty of space.
You didn't mention the stereo, I don't think, and that deserves some attention. The sound is impressive, and can rock everything in sight even at highway speeds.
You didn't mention how comfortable the seats are. I have heard several people say that these are the most comfortable seats they have ever experienced in any car. I prefer them to the Recaro's, in fact. The cooling feature is an absolute must, and works wonderfully.
What about stopping power? Again, I have found it to be extremely impressive. And handling? That depends on the tires to some degree, of course, but this car handles like a top end, sports car. Maybe watch the review of the car by the guys on Top Gear UK-- they loved the car.
The best thing about it is the overall quality. I was always a GM guy, and it took some convincing for me to buy my first Ford. I don't know if I'm just lucky, but I have had almost zero issues with the Fords I have owned, and so far I;ve had nothing but great luck with this one, too. I absolutely love this Mustang GT convertible- mine is silver with a black top and 20" wheels. I plan on keeping this car forever. Hopefully I won't wrap it around a semi, because I sure have fun driving it. I am told that the engine and transmission can handle more than twice the horsepower and torque than the standard build, and a Ford dealer can install a Supercharger and some other mods that will take this very car up to more than 700 HP. I have no need to do that- it's awesome enough for me as it is. I wouldn't trade it for an older one, OR a newer one. The 2017 is perfect.
