thanks alex. I recently got the manual and it does give a load of info. I was hoping someone has produced a video that one could follow along with, that would show where and what one should lubricate etc

I found a great DVD from BoxWrench - goggle it - that goes through the whole process of tearing down and rebuilding an engine. The examples they use are Chevy and Mopar but the steps and processes are the same. Great video and it gave me confidence I could actually do it myself. The book by George Reid - How to Rebuild the Small-Block Ford - is also very good. I watched the video and then read the book cover to cover. The book made a bit more sense after the video.

Good luck!
