Will 68 289 heads bolt up and run with a 5.0 intake? I have 97 Sploder 5.0 and I have a set. Aside from rocker/rollers, I've heard rumors this could work. Hoping 5.0 stang guys have more knowledge than on sploder 5.0 forums.

I had a set of '66 289 heads on my '88 back in the '90s. From what I remember, nothing special was required to put it together.

They should bolt right up, but the heads that came on the explorer are a better head.
