My 289 Stocker Has Had A Recent Lower End Rebuild And Head Job. I Would Like To Swap Induction Parts And Cam But Got Lost In All My Options Online. Has Anyone Added Parts Like A 5021pk Torquer Package From Edelbrock Which Includes Cam, Carb, Intake, Lifters Etc... There Are Notes In Jegs Catalog That Explain I Must Change Timing Chain, Torque Converter... Any Help Is Appreciated As Always.

Well, I haven't used that package, but I have used the Edelbrock Top End packages and they work great together. Depending on the duration of the camshaft you select you'd get the best performance by swapping to a higher stall torque converter. You'll also want to take into consideration the rear end gears and tire diameter when making that decision. You absolutely should replace the timing chain, and this would be the time to do it because you'll have to remove it anyways to swap the cam. What kind of performance are you looking for, and what type of idle and driveability?
