3.73 vs 4.10 99-04gt

373s in a 5 speed will almost equal 4.10s in a auto.
so go 4.10!

i went 373 but i drive a ton on the highway and go from state to state.

4.10s for a manual... but if u drive a lot of 70mph+ highway forget it. Youll hate yourself. If youre not on it all that much.... then ever time you get on it youll rember that those gears are the best $500 youve ever spent :gringreen

4.10s for manual city/ occasional highway and for auto trans
3.73 for manual highway driver who wants a little more kick

Everyone has diff opinions

I say if you do a lot of racing go 4.10. If not then go 3.73.

Sometimes I wish I went 4.10 lol, but i like my 3.73s

nah but seriously i wish i would have gone with 4.10 instead of the 3.73.

everyone's opinions are different but from my experiences I would go 3.73. I know people who have had 4.10s in a 5speed and automatics and regret it when it comes to the highway, topping out way too quickly.

I have a 5speed with 3.73s and its just right.

My vote goes to 3.73s.

My advice would be to drive or ride with someone who has each ratio. Then decide which one you like better.

I wish I could, but work keeps me swamped. The last real Mustang event I went to was the Mustang's 40th anniversary here in Nashville, TN speedway.

Oh, and the time I took my car out right after I finished installing the blower.
