Hi everybody, I own a 67 coupe with a three speed. It will not stay in gear when we are going down any slope of hill. This happens when I let of the gas to apply the brakes. I have replaced the bushings and the bearing in the shifter, but it still well not stay in gear. Can anyone help me.:happyhapp

I also have a 67 with a three speed and recently I had the same problem
with it jumping out of gear on a downward slope. What was causing my problem was that one of the four bolts that attaches the transmission to the bell housing was missing and the other three were loose. I guess the play between the transmission and the housing was the cause as the problem went away after I replaced the bolt.
