my main thing is mustang swaps. and a 98 mark is a very good swap for you . the return fuel system is easy to deal with. but you will need cobra parts to do it . your oil pan with 96-98 cobra oil pick up tube , and cobra exaust manifolds or headers. and your motor injection harness and lower. the injection harness needs to be rearranged to fit the mark induction. and the imrc valves need to be wired open or better deleted 300.00 . fyi i charge 300 to set up a mark motor for a mustang with your parts. wires, pan etc. if you look at my pitures you will see a 98 mark motor set up for a 98 mustang . your motor sounds like a rod bearring hammered out but has not turned yet. make shure you get the mark motor complete, you will need the thermostat housing and hoses. i am setting up a 98 mark motor for a mustang today. i can help with info, and if you want i will modify your injector harness for you. if you want more info email. and 98 mark is 295 hp compared to 305 cobra. and if you add the mustang exaust and air inlet you are about there . for tunning after the swap wait and see if your ecu can adjust the fuel . the 96-98 do adjust. many tunner guys say i will need tuned. but if no check engine light you are good to go. these ecu are very smart and will make adjustments for just about what aver you do . but a tune will boost performance, but at a cost . maks shure you get the mark mass air . and you will need a air tube for a 99-01 cobra or a 03-04 mach 1 see my pitures.fyi the 97-98 mark motor induction will fit a mustang 93-96 will not
