The 351C would probably be easier. It will bolt to the AOD too.
Is all this custom work or something I could buy from mustangsunlimited or summitracing etc...?At this point it would be the same amount of work involved. Me, my moto......no replacement for displacement. Both special oil pan, special headers, custom driveshaft, beefed rear suspension.
Both would be fun as hell to drive! Weight savings for the 351.
Plus one. Everything can be bought though jegs/ summit type places. Just droping in the motors will not be an inprovement unless rebuilt. Stock for stock your 5.0 would have more power!You can pretty much buy all that you need to do the swap but it all requires money and homework.
You will need to be handy.
It depends on how much power you wanna make. To get 600 hp out of a BB doen't take much. To get 600 hp out of a SB requires more to get it there.With all that in mind would it be better to just save that money and build my 5.0 engine?
