351 upper to 302
Yep, one way you can is make sure the 351 upper is a Gt/40 cobra style upper, thus with a 302 gt/40 lower you can use the intake from a 351. I know because I bought a 97 S351 upper and lower, sold the 351 lower and bought the Gt/40 cobra 302 lower. The width of the 351 and 302 lowers are different. Now I have a S351 upper with my 302 motor. Of course the Saleen 351 upper is a modified 89-93 cobra upper intake and saleen matched it with the 351 Gt/40 lower. So, my guess is that the 351 upper has to be a ford product such as the Cobra R 351 upper. So yes you need the 302 lower that matches the 351 upper.
