i have a few questions reguarding the 4.6l engine. i have the chance to get a free engine, trans, and wiring harness from a 90s crown vic. this is the sohc 4.6, and im looking to make a sick street ranger, as it already has a blown 302 (boom not boost). the question i have is can i just put 4 valve heads from a lincoln mark viii and the intake, will it all bolt up? and if so, what cams do you guys reccommend for the max perfomance? im not really concerned about idle, but need more all around power at the strip. i just want to kick a$$ and put these kids with their hondas in their place. i need max perfomance for a tight budget. thank you

The 4 valve headswap is so involved, that it is literally cheaper to buy a whole 4 valve engine. Make sure to get the Vic's computer, too.

4V heads/intake/etc will all bolt right up to the 2V block, but you will need all the 4V accessories, and you will run into the problem of having very low compression (53cc chambers vs 42-43cc of the 2V)

I second monkey boy. Like markwondi said, yes they physically will bolt up, but id just get a complet 4v if i were going to go that route..
