4.6L 2v Stroker Question

1300 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Pinky_4.6_2v
I've new to whole 4.6L mod motors first one I've owned, but not new to engines and/or mustangs

My question is with stroking the 4.6 to I guess a 5.0, is there any boring needed? Like I've built Chevy 383 stroker and the 350 needed to be bored .030 over, is these the same case or is there no boring needed?

thank you.

Ok I'll get a hold of them, thank you
cool, check out Trick Flow heads if you want to build that killer NA motor...gotta tell you Ford mod motors are very expensive to build, esp compared to Chevy small blocks

I've built a few 302 with trickflow
And i've noticed Mod motors are expensive, bought it knowing that lol, but it's my DD and looking for a goal of 300whp

I got PI heads,Gears,Headers,Cat-less exhaust, and tune(with a sct tuner) I bought the car this way.

I was thinking of stroking it because I also bought another 4.6 block when I picked up the mustang ti was the donor for the PI head swap.
