your best bet i to find a wrecked 89 5.0 and use it as a doner car, you will have to swap the rear brake line, fuel lines, rear axle, trans cross member, is it a stick or an auto? i would find a 89 conv 5.0 to dismantle, you will need the headlight and main engine harness as well as the computer, im just finishing a swap from a 91 5.0 gt to a 90 lx notch 4 banger, i had to get the engine wiring from a 89 gt because ford changed the engine harness in 91, i had to run wirers that are missing from the engine harness and the car, if i had to do it again i would definatily get the same modle year,

hey man thanks alot for the help. The problem is though i had a hard time finding the convertable i got they didnt make hardly any 89 convertables with the 5.0 in it so maybe i will get lucky and i can find a 89 hatch with the 5.0 harness i need once again thanks alot

i would definately take the time to find one the same year
