460 build questions
hey guys im buildin a 460 for my 91 coupe ive got a few questions, its a .30 with forged flat tops stock rods and crank with all arp bolts a set of pro comp alm heads hooker super com headers a c6 3500 stall and 4.11s and a 250 shot. my question is what size cam should i run to get the best power and also what carb/intake should i go with

I would suggest this cam.
Comp Cams Magnum, part number 34-336-4, grind number 292H. It's a hydraulic flat tappet and is intended for street strip use. It's .560 lift, 292 duration, 244 duration at .050 lift, a 110 degree LCA and a powerband of 2500-6500. It would need at least a 3000+ stall speed converter like you have, and has a rough idle.
I'd suggest either an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap for street use or a Victor JR for more strip use. Then I'd say probably an 850 considering how aggressive the setup will be.
