Hey yall...i was just wondering what all would be needed for a 460 swap into a fox...i know it can be done...just dont know how easy and what all will be needed...i know i would have to go carbed...and probably going auto would be cheaper than manual....i just needed to know what parts...and to know if it would honestly be worth it...i know it would be cool to say to guys when they ask "what you got in it a 5.0?" to say naw just a little 7.5...so any info would be great
Thanks in advance!
Kaleb
and here is some parts i have questions on
Hood: how big of a cowl hood do i need
axel: will a 8.8 hold up...or would a 9 inch be nessecary
go fast parts: how easy are these to obtain...and how expensive are they
transmission: is the turbo 400 the best route and what crossmember do i need?
suspension: is there a special suspension...or just the normal setup
just dreaming up the next project car...already did a 2.3 to 5.0 swap...now i just want to go further....
Get about 8 big fat chicks to ride around on your hood for a while and see if you like how the car handles. To many other much better options for power than to hack that boat anchor in there. JMO!
460s are where its at. 12 sec junkyard motor. To put it in a fox youll need a different oil pan and headers. Ive never really looked into it but heres a link you might want to check out. As for a trans alot of guys build a c6 or a powerglide but youll have alot of money in a powerglide. just to get it going id go with a c6
yea i know about the guy with the stroked 460...hes the guy i was talking about...couldnt find his name or the thread i seen his post on
and smurf stang
