I just got my new emblems and I need to know where exactly to put them (I know they go on the fenders behind the wheel...I'm not that dumb). Anyone know distances from let's say the wheel well and door molding? Should I just eyeball it? Or if anyone has other ideas, let me know.

Good thing to do is put your index and middle finger together, and use that to gauge how far above the ridge that would be below the emblem. Side to side is just to center it.

Here are the dimensions off my 1986 Mustang GT. It's the same on the passengers side too.
