Doing a trans swap is not for an amature mechanic. You will have to get a clutch petal assembly,clutch quadrant,clutch cable,throw out bearing,clutch fork,manual wiring plugs,neutral switch plug,Driveshaft,ECU for a manual transmission,shifter,shifter boot,clutch,clutch alignment tool,speedo sensor may work,and a whole lot of patience. It's up to you to decide if its worth it.

i would say it's worth it

i would also say you need better than average skills to do the job...

It can be done in a weekend's time, and I agree, you need to know what you are doing before undertaken a project like this. I also think it is well worth it, you will enjoy the 5spd.

Its easy if you have all the parts. most people over look a few things like the o2 sensor harness is different between a 5spd and aod car.
