5.0L injector rail plumbing

I am not familure with Fords way of doing their fuel system so here I am asking. I am installing a 5.0L in a 1966 Mustang but cannot find any information as to which injector rail connection is the feed and which is the return. There is one connection at the front that I assume is the pressure inlet and then the one midways back near the regulator is the return. Is this correct? I would appreciate any information.

Was valve on only the one-way fuel injection without return? Too long ago all that. Point being have yet to notice one on Mustang with return, maybe too much motor cowling. Also that aspect on fuel pump testing, injector pressure, pattern and delivery, so-forth… recall very few writings on this as with “my car won’t start”.

Probably losing memory too?
