I finally managed to make an account for my questions that i really couldnt find an answer to. Ive been researching this swap for a few months now so I have most of the information. First of all:
Why am i doing this swap?
I have a 1986 convertible mustang gt that has quite a lot of rust. nothing irreparable but I live in Florida where it rains A LOT and the top doesnt lock in place and leaks a bunch of water. Also sitting in my front yard is a 1999 V6 with a tapping engine but with a lot of suspension replaced, new rims and tires, nice sound system and more money invested. A 5.0L might be more work than a modular 4.6 but I want my car to be unique. In no way am i trying to make this car a show car, just a daily.
Im trying to do this swap in the cheapest fastest way possible as this is will be my daily and im only 19 with only so much money. My main questions are:
How to get the V6 T-5 to bolt up to the 5.0L? Could i change the input shaft from the fox T-5 because its shorter or should i get the bellhousing from a sn95 T-5?
I've read I will need to swap the fuel system, When i go to wire it, where would i put the fuel relay? could i leave it in the fuse box under the hood or would putting it near the ecu be better?
My BIGGEST question of all is wiring. Especially with the gauge cluster and speedo sensor in the transmission. How many wire harnesses would i have to splice to receive the ignition signal and gauge cluster wires? Would i need a cluster from a 5.0 sn95? Is there any other wires that would need to be spliced? I REALLY dont want to swap the entire dash harness from a sn95.
Last question, Which rear end would work and be cheapest.

currently finishing up the same swap myself. i wentr from a written off 94 gt auto to a 1999 v6 auto. bassically the same car just different body style. you are correct in haveint to change the fuel system as the 99 uses a returnless system. would need to source a fuel tank from an sn95 car. also the k member needs to be swappped in order for the 302 to sit in properly. a fox k memeber should bolt up the same. the dash will need to be swapped out for an sn95 dash as the newer units are electronic. unless your really good at wiring splicing is a pain! your best bet if your set on going this route and your want to be cheap is pull motor from new edge swap a 5.0 k member and convert to a carbed setup. you will be able to use the 99 wiring with basically no modifications and will be the simpleist and most cost efective route. my swap has cost me just shy of $1000 and going on 2 years ( 94 gt parts car $500 and 99 through some trading from a vehicle i got for free!) plus misc items here and there.

ive heard of sn95 dash swaps into foxes. try a fox dash in a new edge! good luck on yor build

I am currently putting a 95 mustang gt engine into my 2002 v6 mustang and I was very worried about the wiring. If I were to take this route what problems will I run into? Also what does "Little to no modifications" entail? And finally, what changes from the efi to carb makes it so that the wiring does not need to be swapped?
My impression was that you had to swap everything (wiring, fuel accessories, radiator, etc..) matter what.
Please help.

do you have the complete 95 gt? or just the motor? simple efi every wiring harness has to be swapped. it would be a 95gt in a new edge shell. if you dont have a complete parts car it would be very painstaking to hunt down all the parts that is why i would recomend a carb setup. to run the carb style would simplify the wiring to basically power the alt and distributor( best dizzy i find to use is a chevy hei style all you need is 12v) and obviously key to starter. all body harness could remain factory so all lights ect would function as normal. get an electric fuel pump with an adjustable regulator and your pretty much set. other than that you would need to fab up a throttle cable. it all depends which way you would like to take the car. mine i want it to be streetable and reliable
