Hi, I have converted my 68' Coupe to 5spd. but at the time I used a 4spd clutch, pressure plate, etc. I read somewhere that 4spd and 5spd clutches will interchange in this swap (though I am doubting that now)
I ran the car for about 2 months and now the tranny is slipping in all gears. It also makes a bunch of shuddering noises upon certain gear engagement.

My question is this: what is the a very strong clutch to use in a 5spd conversion? Something that will last longer than 2 months!!!
I have been looking at the FordRacing 10.5" clutch and Centerforce Dual Friction.
What size clutch can be used on this swap? 10.5? 11?

Thanks :drink:

Use a 10.5 clutch with 28oz imbalance flywheel.
Could be a king cobra, centerforce, ram.
