Ok guys heres the deal im seriously thinking about about building a 534 stroker engine or maybe even larger. But first could someone tell me if the 460 block needs any special mahine work done such as notching to put the stroker kit in? Also ive heard that you can go .080 over on a 460 block and not have to worry about overheating. Id like any info anyone can provided on both questions.

I'm going with a 557.. no notching needed... .080 is hit or miss, and year doesnt really matter for cylinder wall thickness.. the later blocks do have slightly longer cylinders for better piston support at the bottom of the stroke..

try http://www.network54.com/Forum/85220 for any 429-460 questions, the people there know their BBF's..
