5R55S 5speed Automatic whine in 2nd gear

Hey guys, I just wanted to bring back the whine issue with Fords 5R55S 5-speed automatic to check for more complaints. There was a thread months ago and I know alot of people wont look that far back for this issue. Has anyone experienced a whine in 2nd gear in the 5 speed automatic? Not the 4R70W, the 5R55S. I had contacted Ford directly to complain and they wanted me to bring it in but unfortunately its one of those "Need to duplicate the problem" in order to fix it...I told the rep that I wont drive 56 miles to the dealership to roll the dice and hope to god it does it with a tech in the car. So, I'm letting it go to see if something finally breaks. They understood and agreed. The tranny shifts fine but something strange has been showing lately. It shifts into 4th(i think, hard to tell if its 4th) earlier than usual and bogs the engine when you reach 40 mph. The rpm is sluggish, and sticks to 1700rpm with a slow increase in both rpm and speed until I reach 60mph and then it comes back to life. I'm not sure if this is tranny related or engine related. Anyway, HAS ANYONE ELSE HEARD THE WHINE???

is yourcar stock? no CAI with a tune?
try playing around with the O/D and your T/C. I notice that the car responds a little differently when i have the T/C off. Also, are you keeping your right foot consistent?

I have noticed if i lag off my right foot while in 5th gear going a low speed like 45ish, then i give it some gas, but not enough to warrant a downshift, it kind of "drones........" while slowly going up while staying in 5th gear.
The whine has been pretty well documented but I don't think Ford has admitted to anything.
You may want to disconnect the batt so the computer can relearn how you want to drive the car. JMO

Yeah, same thing like you just described. Also, trying to keep the right foot consistent is somewhat a challenge to. That low-end torque loves to creep up on the car in front of you leaving me to have to let up on the gas and go back on it again. For a while, I was thinking the puter says "ok, if thats what you want, then here ya go, lets bog down!" I found a neat trick on another forum on how to reset the throttle without disconnecting the battery. Turn the key to on, but dont start the engine. When all but 2 of the dashlights go out, slowly push the pedal down and back up. Turn the car off for 15 seconds and start the engine. The acceleration is quicker and is on learn mode. I had to fiddle with it a few times to find a sweet spot it liked that would deliver good acceleration. But eventually, the bog returns. I swear, what was Ford thinking by putting an electronic throttle in a muscle car.
I have been tinkering with the throttle reset trick and I really think that the "adaptive learning" is extremely sensitive. And that has alot to do with the problem. The speed at which you push the gas down and back up during throttle reset will either make or break you. After a few trys at controlling the speed at which you push the gas down and up makes a big difference. And I did notice from the sound of the flowmasters, how the engine is responding to the throttle position. Slow but smooth aggressive acceleration helped keep the engine in its powerband. I noticed that after doing 9 stop and go run off the line did change how well the car responds and the lag went away like it learned how to accelerate. If you do lift off the gas while cruising non aggressively, wait until you are around 25mph before hitting the gas to climb back up the powerband. You will get a smooth seat planting ride all the way up to 80pmh+ and no lag. I think I had to adapt to the electronic way of acceleration and not mechanical...big difference...Its a whole different game.
