I'm restoring my engine compartment back to original condition, got the engine and transmission out (both freshly rebuilt) and I've just removed all the items around the engine compartment, minus the master break cylinder and break lines.
Looking at 1965 Mustang Body Assembly Manual (Jim Osborn reproduction) page 15, it calls out a specific adhesive to be applies around the heater hoses and heater motor (ESB-M2G43-A, Adhesive) as well as a sealer (ESB-M4032-A, Black Sealer - .19 diameter or bulk).
Any ideas on what these are? The restoration supply areas of the usual parts suppliers (Virginia Classic Mustang, NPD, etc...) don't call out applications very well for the sealers and adhesives they sell. I'm trying to be correct, not sure if strip caulk that I did buy is one of the culprits here.
Appreciate any insight.
