Here are the numbers. Can anyone confirm that this motor is not the original according to dates. The way I read them is that is not the original motor but I am seeking others advice.

Data Plate: 6F08C730559 (76A) (K) (22) (30G) (17) (6) (1)

Block Casting # (7B2) C5AE-6015E

That block number from the Cleveland foundry was used for 65, 66 and 67 289s. 7B2 says it was cast on Feb 2, 1967, and would have originally been in a '67 something. Nearly anything Ford built with a 289 could have used that block in '67.

The engine assembly date is stamped on the block just in front of the LH cylinder head. Look at the 2nd photo from the top on this site.
