Having an issue with fully restored 67 Convertible C code automatic. Car has all new steel in areas where rust was evident including new front and rear torque boxes, floor pans, heavy seat pan and weld in brace, inside rockers etc etc. However with all of this new steel welded solidly in place I still have an issue with the old sagging problem when car has rear seat passengers or when the roof is streched to spec. Doors start to bind, mainly on passenger side.
Was thinking of placing bottle jacks at center and jacking the car until the sag reverses more than desired amount and tacking in sub-frame connectors on a trial and error. If this works then complete welding the connectors in place.
Anyone have any comments or suggestions?
