Yeah I know its a six,but gotta love them. I just got this car and my son and I plan on doing a restore for him(it was his grandfathers car),what I need to know is what is how much water this holds so we can drain it and put in new antifreeze for the winter,it is a 6 and not worth much to some but to him it is,so any help would be appericated. As you can tell we are new to this.

Hello.Welcome.:) The cooling system capacity of your car should be 9qts.While it is true that the 6cyl cars don't command anything close to the price of the 8cyl cars on the market, they are every bit as pretty, and they get pretty good gas milage. I drove one every day for a couple of years and it got about 23 mpg around town, but I'm a little goofy about keeping a car properly tuned and generally roadworthy.I would replace the air filter about every 3 thousand miles, change the oil every 2 thousand, stuff like that.Once I got all of the bugs worked out of it, it was a good car.Very well behaved. There are really only two places that having a 6cyl is a liability. The track and the auction block.Stay away from those places and you and your son can have a lot of fun with the car.Good luck.:)
