My running lights wont come on, Turn signals and brake lights work though. I'm thinking maybe a wire just isnt connected somewhere, but if I cant find anything I'm just gonna tap into the front head lights and run a wire all the way to the back. Is this bad, I mean could this decrease the power going to my headlights

Ive worked on a few mustangs with this. to the left of your steering wheel there should be that switch (usually a pull switch) to turn your lights on and off, you take that off and behind that there is that shroud that covers and goes around your guages and stuff. If you take that shroud off you should see a wire bundle coming from where the switch would be, its like a square box with a bunch of wires running in and out of it. That box often times gets bad when the car starts getting old. Its a problem mustangs specifically have had for years and years and ford has neglected to fix the problem.

just a side note for that box ive orederd it form many different places and its very hard to get the right one what i suggest is going to a dealership and just haveing them order you one. when i did it was only like 15 bucks i think.
