I’m not familiar with that diff cover. Mine is a FRPP but I’ve got a newer car. How much clearance space do you need?
8.8 diff cover
Okay guys and gals. I hope I’m not learning an expensive lesson. I swapped in an 8.8 into my 83 fox. I decided to reward myself with a pretty b&m diff cover. I liked the fact that it had drain and fill plugs. Problem is clearance between the spare tire well. Is this typical with these types of diff covers ? Do you run into this with the ford racing cover ? I really don’t want to massage my spare tire well with a hammer.

I know some of the aftermarket 8.8 covers have interference with the spare tire well.
Mine is not FRPP but it is the same size and there is plenty of room on my '79
