Hello I have a 68 bronco which has a 87 5.0 ho in it so im sorry I don't have a mustang, but my bronco has a heart of one :) either way I am having problems and I was hoping you could help. The person who did the conversion has two fuel pumps one low pressure in the back right by the fuel tank and the other one is in the engine bay. The bronco started to bog down and back fire whenever I tried to give it more throttle. It idle fine and start up fine until I started to press the gas. To get up to speed I had to ease into it slowly. Either way I tried testing the fuel pumps. First I made sure they were both turning on which they were. Then I routed the fuel lines around the front pump to bypass it and the rear wouldnt work then I routed around the rear and the front worked. I replaced the rear fuel pump with a low pressure pump which is supposed to have more suction. It ran awesome for like a day and this morning same exact thing. I noticed when I started it up in the morning the front pump started to sound like it was going to give up. So I am sure that I will have to replace it. My problem is I started to drive it halfway to work and it started to do it so I turned around to just park it and take the wifes car. Before I left though I tried to shut it off and turn it back on again and both fuel pumps turned on when I turned the key over, but the engine didnt turn over. I love my bronco but this whole fuel pump issue is getting out of hand. I really need some help I dont know if the engine not turning over is connected to the fuel pumps or what please help....

More info is needed like is it a carb set up?
Which car and fuel pumps are they?
Which fuel lines you running?
Since you are talking about a swap more info the better....

Its fuel injected 5.0 HO out of a 1987 mustang. I am not sure of the gpm or anything but the pump that is coming out of the tank is a low pressure and the one in the engine bay is a high pressure. As far as fuel lines I am not sure exactly what you mean, but its standard rubber fuel lines from the tank till after the second pump its steel. The two pumps both have a fuel filter before them, which both filters are clean. As far as the engine goes it is all stock 87. The only thing that isnt stock is it has a k & n filter. For the swap the dude basically has the necessities hooked up like o2 sensors. I am sorry I am not too proficient on efi, either way it has been running fine till a couple weeks ago and now it wont even turn over... If you need anymore info let me know and thanks in advance for the help..

I would look into running a sump tube in the tank and just run an inline 255 lph pump. Or run a 255 lph Walbro in the tank if possible. You also need a regulator set to 38# And how are you gonna ask us questions and refer to a 68 bronco without showin us pics man.
