87 GT Wiring Harness Beautification

While the car is away at paint I am going to try and beautify the under hood wiring harness and replace some connectors that didn’t make it through the tear down. I don’t know what to do with it besides new loom so your ideas are welcome.

1. Can you buy new connectors or do you have to salvage them off of a donor harness.

2. Is there a special tool for removing the connectors from the harness?

3. What have you guy done to beautify you’re under hood harness? Post pics if you have them.

not sure about removing plugs and stuff, but you can always clean them up a bit. i think they do make a tool for it.
jegs sells looming kits in many colors with everything youll need EXCEPT the really big loom along the firewall. the ttrick to getting the looming to look nice is to not twist it, and try and route everything in straight lines, not curvy waves like it is now. i use zip ties to hold everything as close to the firewall and fender curtains as possible. plus, a little color is always nice. im doing my engine compartment in black and red right now, to match my exterior. its gonna look nice. just remember, its UNDER the hood. nobody but you knows about it. so dont waste too much time or fret too much about it. as long as it works.
Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it

I have been on many forums focused on car and tuck performance and modification for my past vehicles; Ford trucks, Acura, Pontiac, Dodge. Whenever you would post on those forums you would have several responses in a day no matter what the topic. On this forum you’re lucky to get a response from someone in the first 24hrs if any at all. Why do you think that is?
