Thank you for clearing that up for me,
I have this old school mechanic and he said the higher the octain the better it is for the injectors. But in fact I starded to run with the 87 and the car does feel to respond much better, maybe its in my head but it does seem to be better.
The premium fuels sometimes have additives the lower priced ones don't. You should feel no difference. It's all in the timing curve, not the octane.

i started running with the 87 octane and it was fine, but today i filled up and i started to hear the pinging, only at the lower speed 5 - 10ml
is this something to worry about? i must tell you ive been using 93 octane for about a year, did i condition the car or something?
could just be bad gas. Some stations engage in a bit of fraud, filling up with Colorado 86 octane fuel . . .

Where do you get your gas?

Thanks for the info guys,

I'm in NY city, out side boro, my area is filled with Sunocco gas stations, i think theres one mobil and shell station.

you think maybe i should try another brand gas or fill up with 91 octane?
you're still under warranty, leave the regular gas in it and take it to the dealer. Let them figure it out!
