That's probably why its running so rich. The ecm moniters the exhaust via the O2 sensors.I would hook them up run it then retrieve any codes the computer has.Steve

I am currently installing a 1988 mustang gt wiring harness in my 1940 ford. according to the data that i have, The 1989 mustang was the first year that they used the MAS in the intake.1988 and back used MAP. I believe. Make sure the orange wire located at the rear of the engine isconnected to a good ground This can be confirmed by using a VOM tocheck contnunity from pin #49 (EEC
sixty pin connector) to the ground under the hood.
