My high beam indicator stays on and when I flip the stalk to bright....the headlights actually dim. I replaced the multifunction switch and the headlight switch and its the same. Wiring and connectors all look foot and grounds at headlights appear good. Not sure how long its been this way. It has been like this since I bought it.
I pulled the fuse panel out and all the wiring looks good. Harnesses all look good. They have not been butchered up. Does this year have a module the lights run through?
It might be your bulbs...some bulbs don't interface with the low-hi setup correctly. Or if one of the bulb coils is burnt out but not the other, it might cause a problem.
The only other thing I could think of is there is an issue with the other end of the headlight harness where it plugs into the alternator. Maybe some corrosion inside the harness itself.
