Hello , i just replaced the old brake booster with one from centric parts, i wasnt able to put it back to the four holes on the fire wall , its really hard to put them through. The bolts only seem to go in one inch then they dont budge anymore no matter how hard i push the booster onto the four holes,Has anyone had a problem like this before, do u have any tips on how to ? I already greased up the bolts too.
-thanks

You got two choices, or maybe a combination thereof...

Elongate the bolt holes towards the center of the car to give them more room (and you may not have to do all of them, just the ones holding you up, and/or pound the crap out of your shock tower to give you clearance.
Thanks, but can a mechanic be able to widen the holes since i dont own a tool that does a thing. Can the car still use the hand brake if no brake booster is in place without causing harm? Since the mechanic lives 3 blocks away
Mmmm, I'd say no to driving with just the hand brake!

A Dremel tool, or round hand file would work fine. The metal in the fire wall isn't too thick.
Yeah dont drive with no brakes, as said above a round file will work if you cant get ahold of a dremel.

Cool man, plus you get the satisfaction of doing the work yourself.

Now, don't be afraid to grab your 5lb sledge and tell your shock tower who's in charge...:winks
