Hi,
I have installed an aftermarket rear view mirror insert (hope it's the correct technical term) so my OEM rear view mirror can slide into....which worked well. I did notice that it is a bit loose after tightening it. It shakes quite a bit while driving....kind of annoying.

How can I fix this issue? I'm thinking if I put a piece of thin rubber or adhesive tape, the rear view mirror should become snug.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I went to a local parts store, for the one I had replaced in my 90 LX Hatchback. And it doesn't shake a bit, so I would most likely replace the one you have that's shaking so badly. Don't hack it up, by putting a piece of thin rubber or a piece of tape. Do it right, it will look a 100% better, Mike.:bigthumbsup:bigthumbsup

I took the insert from another mustang at a salvage yard. I asked at O'Riley's to see if they had one and they did not.
Did you purchase the insert of the whole setup?

thanks again.
