How do I remove the rubber body moldings? Are they Glued or Screwed? Or both?

some have glue others have plastic pins that hold it on.

Most are glued on and are a real PITA to remove. Also, when you pull them off they tend to bend out of shape and are really tough to get back on straight. Do you really need to remove them? Are they damaged? Can they just be repaired on the car and painted? I would think twice before removing them.
