(new to the site and the world of mustangs)
i recently just bought a 93 mustang 2.3 LX notchback bone stock and would like to turbo it what kind of pistons (size and such) and what are some things to watch out for? what about the ford ranger block ? can someone tell me something bout that? i always read about people putting it on there mustang.. but why? and what else should i do to prepare for turbo day?

Recommend that you look for a running T-5 transmission 87-88 Thunderbird turbo coupe or 85-86 SVO (has 8.8 diff. 4 wheel disk and factory intercooler) , not as well equipped but still good for engine, fuel syst. and electronics is the 85-86 XR7, Thunderbird turbo coupe or Merkur XR4TI all were factory turbo engines (internals made for added pressure) with VAF meter EECVI systems bigger injectors external fuel pump etc. Snag the whole driveline and EEC VI. .. side note: all factory versions with automatics had shift issues due to the use of vacuum modulators on all A4LD and C-5 transmissions.
