Just got a 93 Mustang GT convertible to start as a driving project. Car has MSD Blaster2 coil, MSD cap and wires, Headers (not sure of brand), Intake breather ran behind fender with K&N filter, 2 1/2 exhaust, Flowmaster mufflers, and i am running premium fuel. I am having an issue with take-off. When i accelerate hard it bogs down and then takes off and i am getting horrible gas mileage. I am going to look at the timing today and would like to know what a good place to put it would be. I am new to the mustangs and would like some help. Thanks

Stock timing is 10* BTC with the spout out. I'd start there and see if that solves your problems.

If you just got the car I would give it a full tune up besides checking the timing, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter ect and see how she runs then.

Don't let it ping. Try lugging it a little and if it pings.......detonation is a motor killer.
