Yo,
Got back from the dyno today and my numbers are as follows for my 347 stoker build.
- 345RWHP
- 370 TQ

- Stock block bored .30
- Scat rotating assembly
- 10.6.1 compression
- Trick flow 170's
- Trick flow track heat intake
- Trick flow stage 2 cam
- 75mm throttle body
- 42lb injectors
- PMAS 80mm MAF Calibrated
- 3:73 rear end
- T5 transmission
- BBK cold air intake
- Mac Long tubes
- BBK X pipe

Where do I need to start to make it 400 to the wheels? Head work? Or trick flow 205's?

Thanks!

heads

I say bigger heads 185cc and a custom camshaft. I just done a 347 and they did not want to go any bigger than 195 dart heads. he said we was pushing the block to the max on the block and it made [email protected] at the crank. this is around 13:1 comp motor on race gas.

You know you're committed to an accent when you even type with one too. :gringreen

I will agree as you will need a little more head and a better matching camshaft.
Also how did the AF look like? That is a lot of fuel for the stock computer to try to figure out.

Look at my combo.

Edit: Looks like I had removed my combo. It is a 349with 10.5 to 1 comp. TW 170 heads that were ported and cleaned up. TW intake manifold that was cleaned up. Custom cam with 75mm TB and a 80 MAF with 30 lb injectors (maxed out). Got a quarterhorse for tuning. Maybe better headers would have helped me some more but used my old 1-5/8" MAC's.

Air fuel was spot on. Local tuner was happy. It does idle around 1k but it is going back to the Dyno so he can data log it again to make it right.

So my next question.... Stage 2 port these heads at fox lake? Or sell em and buy 185's or TFS 190's.

Who do you recommend for the custom cam?

Thank you.

I disagree with bigger heads unless forced induction is in the works. The cam and tune are where to pick some up, 400RWHP is not gonna come easy,
No forced induction in the future. I don't see why you would go bigger heads with forced induction either? I just need to decide if a stage 2 port job is more beneficial than buying bigger heads. Fox lake seems to think my current heads with a stage 2 port job would outflow the 185's.

Anybody have recommendations for the customer cam?

Thank you.

Smurfstang... What were your Dyno numbers?
Custom solid roller cam with matching springs/rods/rockers. Done.
You are only making 9hp more than me (street car, wife drives it), and I'm at 306cu.in. with "stock" heads.
There is a lot of power in a good cam.
I am making 392 and 424 tq probably a hair more as we tweaked it a couple of more time with the QH but didn't slap it on the rollers.
It pulls like a diesel from down low and makes peak power like at 5800 so I am not spinning it to the moon either. Great street car and
hates tires so I punish them every chance I get >:)
