Okay so have a 95 Gt with the 5.0 (obviously). The engine was running very choppy and was blowing smoke and oil out of the dipstick tube. So I had a new pcv valve put on, but still the issue continued. So he compression tested the engine and found that the rings in one cylinder are bad. I haven't done anything about it but now, since I've driven it some; the oil and smoke no longer come out the dipstick but its now coming from somewhere in the back of the engine any idea where it would be coming from and what I could do to fix it without rebuilding the engine?

Well first you gotta find out if your bottom end is short or just unhealthy.

You also gotta find out where the oil/smoke is coming from.

You said you changed the PCV valve and it helped? Did you change out the screen that is under the valve? If not that usually gets clogged full of oil and blowby stuff that it clogs the screen up and you might get an oil leak from somewhere.

You also might be leaking oil out of the valve cover gaskets....very common.

You also might be leaking oil out of the lower intake manifold.
