I just bought this mustang less than a month ago and put in a bbk intake kit in it about 2 weeks ago. Ran flawlessly for about 2 weeks than started to take a turn for the worse. I turn the car on and it already starts ratteling. In idle it feels like it's going to break down and on acceleration it feels the same way like its going to backfire.
A faint ticking noise is heard around the throttle body..

Things I've tried:

Changed oil and oil filter
Cleaned MAF sensor
Putting 93 gas
Getting codes pulled; nothing came up..

I'm in dire need of help.

This is my only means of transportation and I love this car dearly.

Did you check for a vacuum leak?

How do I check for that?

Haven't really had the time to dissect my car yet. New to the Mustang world.

Wasn't the vac.

Figured it out myself.

It's the motor pulley system..

One of them was lose and its causing everything to run slow and making the whole car shake because its more lose than Paris Hilton.


I have noo idea how to tighten it up or where to go from here.

It was the harmonic balancer.

Too much stress on the pulley system caused a blow off of the harmonic balancer bolt and its causing the car to shake because that bolt absorbs all the kinetic energy.

Found the bolts at Team C Performance in Lakewood, CA!

Those guys there were so much help!

Ended up buying new pulley system to put on while I was down there!

Easy way to bolt on 11 hp!
